Any BF members out there who have done business with aliexpress?

It's a smooth transition until it hits customs in the US. Chicago

Then two extra weeks sitting there. Notoriously slow.

Expect an entire 3-4 weeks for delivery and the box will look like it was thrown off a truck. Going down the highway. But the interior packaging was fine.
 
Unless they've changed from years ago , their resolution process, if you have a problem, is a nightmare . :mad::thumbsdown:

I'd advise against dealing with them .
 
Anything from a western brand there will be fake, and even some of the items from Chinese brands are. Some legitimate Chinese manufacturers sell to customers through there as well, though, and occasionally it's the only way to get an item that doesn't have distribution here. You can look at reviews to figure out which stores have more of a track record, similar to ebay.
 
Temu has warehouses in the US. That's how the shipping is faster.

Same things as Ali but with quicker shipping. Long off the boat and it's all been past customs.

Hit and miss. I've gotten some great fishing gear, heavy treble bluefin tuna hooks at 10% the price of the (sold out) name brand stuff that were as good or better. And the better Chinese knives (eg, Kizer). Took a chance on a fishing reel that proved to be junk, got a partial refund. Shipping is SLOW.
 
AliExpress is good if you're buying cheap crap. I don't mean that pejoratively. Rather, if you're ok with buying an item that you know isn't terribly well-made or fake then its great. Otherwise, stay away.
 
Ive bought twosun, kizer, maxace, and a few other knives off there. Never a problem, other than the fact shipping is slow (which is no surprise)

The items I was looking at weren't clones, however, with what I'm reading about shipping times and a possible resolution process, I'm going to stay away.

As I said, all feedback is greatly appreciated.
