Alignment pins, Everyone should try them!

It's the first time I try them but WOW! What a difference it makes especially when you have to take down everything a few zillion times. It's a little tricky at first but I am sure I'll learn a few tricks with time and it is well worth the effort. Here is a pic cause everyone likes pics right?

I love alignment pins and use them on almost everything I build. They take the guesswork and variables out of assembly.

Patrice- I use alignment/indexing pins all the time and agree they are very handy.

On a side note, I recommend you stay away from router bits in the mill. There are different grades of carbide, and carbide woodworking tooling is typically made for very high wear resistance when used in wood at very high speed, but not with the toughness you'd want while milling steel.

If one lets go, you're gonna have a really exciting day in the shop. :eek:
