The faint outline below the knife are the "face wires" connecting the barges to the boat. The second photo i had got myself into a bit of a jam... there was a dredging operation on the red river and i ran aground with the boat (empty barges). The sand bar was on my port side and to work my way off there is a tendency to swing my lead barge into the dredge (left in the pic). I took the picture atPhotoPictureResizer_191002_134305372-2268x3024_copy_1701x2268.jpg 20190826_140508_copy_3024x2268.jpg the time for documentation. The dredge had told me the channel was "clear" haha. The light boat (no barges) coming up below me was contracted by the dredge, he was gonna try to keep me off the equipment. I had everyone chattering on 13. They were glad to see me gone and I was glad to be gone

I don't live on the coast, unfortunately, but often run to it as a reprieve from life. I try to take along a knife that has some connection to the sea in my mind.
