All at sea

Cool, when werethese made? Did they see action during either of the world wars? Also, does anyone have any knives like this that would be around the time of the Civil War? I have friend who is into Civil War re-enacting, and he is curious about portraying navy personnel, and was looking for period correct reproductions of a rigging knife with marlin spike or without, what they would have used. I got him a RR rigging knife to get used to the pattern, but he cannot use it for reenacting since it is not made of materials common to that era. I assume that there would have been a lot of Sheffield made knives if supplied to the Confederacy,or some New England knife company for the Union. Please provide ideas, thanks.

Recycled photo of one of my Rope knives (one of Mr. CC's finest creations) overlooking the Balclutha in the National Maritime Museum in San Francisco. Golden Gate in background (Bridge and the strait after which the bridge was named).

The top two stag knifes were made in Sheffield, the bottom jigged bone was made in the USA in Meriden, Conn (CT)!! The one with the curved blade is the earliest one,1800s, but might be after the Civil war! Hard to get info!
