You know... I have been thinking about it. And, what about Goldfish? They don't have knives. Spyderco should make small, sheeple-friendly model and call it the Goldfish. Just a thought. :p

What is the world coming to?

Sheeple friendly???

I spend a lot of time, praying "knifes are a tools" to sheeple, I don´t want to see Spydies turn into sissy-treehugging crap.

Wait a second...the nastyest, mean bad ass looking blade I own is called civilian...
And a relatively neutral looking one Military.....

So...
GO!!! make the Goldfish, it will scare the hell out of the liberals, I´m sure;-)

Spyderco goldfish- a 6 foot long, double edged, auto opening civilian with a night black tini coating.

Spyderco goldfish - available at your local grocery store for 49 cents, comes in a plastic bag filled with water, stored in a bowl at home and only lasts for a week.

This is one idea that lands on the cutting room floor at the board meeting!

Goldfish huh? Interesting idea. :)

Well I guess if the "Goldfish" would come in a bag of water and get stored in a bowl, we better make it with H1. ;) Then it will last longer than a week!

Hmm... I'll be sure to let Sal know. :D

Maybe something similar in size and design to the Dragonfly but in H1? Sounds like a winner to me!

The only knives that make sheeple friendly are the plastic variety that come packed with plastic forks and spoons, just before the company picnic.

Ooooh, how about putting a hawkbill blade on it like the Tasman Salt, only smaller.

Goldfish sounds so harmless, nobody would suspect it-but I'd buy it!

You guys are taking the idea and really running with it! A small, Dragonfly-like knife made with H-1 and FRN... maybe a reversed-s/hawkbill blade... Man, I'd buy 3! The Goldfish!

Oh, yeah. The FRN would have to be orange. Man, I can picture it now...

Orange FRN ,slightly larger than a ladybug with some type of hawkbill or reverse hawkbill
sounds like a neat little knife.

I watched a show on Siberian tigers and damn those things sure had knives. Like 4 Civilians each. Actually the knife I have that was very close to the Siberian tigers fangs was also Russian ,the Russian3 by Rosarms had the size ,shape and curve right but the blade edge should have been on the inside of the curve like the civilian.

The show actually talked a lot about how the fangs worked which was cool.
The tigers would go for the neck and 1 fang on top would go through the back of the neck and cut the spine and the bottom one would take out the windpipe and carotid artery. These tools were as specialized as the civilians.

Sharks have cool teeth as well. Much more like spyderedges.

I love the nature shows ,another cool evolved tool was this birds long skinny beak that it used to stick right into the ground several inches and snag bugs.

If we're going all out with this then the orange FRN has got to have a scale pattern texture like the Caly Jr. I think I'd personally prefer a "normal" blade, but I could go for a hawkbill too. Sounds like I won't have much choice with all of the other votes for hawkbills or reverse s blades.

The Hawkbills are the most like teeth and claws of the blade designs. My Byrd Crossbill has not got much use recently with all my new spydies but it is one that definitly has a tooth and claw feel to it.

I really like the all gods critters have knives ,phrase. Humans developed opposable thumbs to grip tools so we can have specific claws for different tasks but it seems recently that a lot of politicians want us declawed. While I don't like it I am glad Spyderco is one of the few companies that is facing the reality that most people in "so called FREE countries" are not going to be able to carry a 6 inch fixed blade anymore.
