I normally photograph outdoors for the best lighting, but its cold in AK right now. So I guess I'm a wuss. This one has a high polish, though not what I consider mirror polish. Belt striations are visible though small. The handle is well contoured from 3/8" slabs for a beefy full grip. Retention is excellent IMO, secure but not to the extent that it must be wrestled out. The ricasso has a light patina.
