The fine print (updated on 1/21/2019):
● All prices are for PayPal G&S with the knife shipped first class to CONUS destinations.
● If you are paying from an overseas PayPal account (but want to ship to CONUS), please add 2.5%, since PayPal charges extra.
● Generally, the first person to unconditionally claim a knife publicly and then promptly follow up with a PM and payment gets the knife, though I reserve the right to sell to whom I please. “I will take it, pending question answered” is not unconditionally. If I have previously had problems with you — either in the discussions forums or in selling to you/buying from you — you may be on my “ignore” list, and I will not sell to you.
● Payment is required within 60 minutes of my giving you my PayPal email address (unless we have agreed on a different arrangement). After 60 minutes, the knife is fair game for others to buy. (I’m tired of chasing after buyers.)

● Thank you, but no trades at this time.
● Please do not post offers within the thread; if you have an offer, please PM me or post your email address, and I will get in touch with you.

Here are the knives for sale:

Spyderco Vallotton Sub-Hilt. SOLD. LNIB. I made a silly mistake. I wanted to buy the smaller version of this knife, and for some reason, I thought the sub meant that this was the smaller version. What I really intended to buy was the Lil Vallotton Sub-Hilt, so this big guy has to go to a better home. Beautiful knife, though.

Spyderco Advocate Gen. 1. SOLD. BNIB. The Gen. 2 Advocates usually go on this forum for about $180. If you are not an obsessive safe queen type of guy (and let’s face it, there’s a big part of that in most of us), you can lead a very happy life with a Gen. 1 Advocate, at a substantial discount. In fact, there is no risk, because Spyderco guarantees your purchase; if your Advocate has a problem because of its design, if Spyderco cannot fix it, they’ll refund you the full MSRP of the knife. According to Spyderco, “First and most importantly, the vast majority of the Advocate knives currently in use around the world are performing exactly as designed. A thorough review of our warranty repair records has not shown a significant incidence of customer issues with this knife….If you currently own an Advocate and are experiencing difficulties with it, please return it to our Warranty Repair department for evaluation. If your knife cannot be easily restored to its proper factory adjustment, we will credit the full MSRP of the knife toward the purchase of another Spyderco product…Please note that this issue has only affected a small percentage of Advocate knives.”

Manix 2 Mid Backlock. $Withdrawn. LNIB/Excellent. This has been so lightly used that it might be able to pass as BNIB, which is why I have it straddling LNIB and Excellent. (Look at the pictures and tell me if you disagree!) In one sense, this is the best of the Manixes, because it has a back lock, which is why I fell for it. The thing is, I now also have the Manix 2 in Jade/M4 (from the BHQ sprint run); in Marbled CF and 4V (from the Fradon Lock sprint run); and most recently, in red G10 and 20cv (from the DLT sprint run).

I have bought and sold and bought and sold and bought the Manix 2 Mid Backlock, though, because though its steel may be slightly humbler, the feel in the hand is stellar, and I love a back lock sooooo much more than a CBBL (caged ball bearing lock). Alas, 4 Manixes is a bit much, so it’s time to sell this guy yet again. (Incidentally, he’s been discontinued, which I think is a real pity.)
