and I had go and find this site. :) Now, several days later, filled with more information on knives than I could ever need I've decided on a little Spyderco Salsa mostly because of a good deal here:

Love these vbulletin forums. They are a weath of info. If you will allow me to make one suggestion. How about a steals and deals section for bargin hunters like me. I have a feeling this won't be my last knife.

BTW this seems like a good deal as well:

Great site,
Sam

Last knife? Never! I told myself that same thing 9 knives and 2 swords ago. Soon you will be plan buying food and paying bills around your knife purchases. "Honey, did you know this month's electric bill was 3 Delicas?" Welcome to a lifelong addiction :)

Welcome aboard.

There's no such thing as a last knife. You may find one that you're completely happy with, but then something new comes along that you want to try. You may go back to your old trusty blade, or you may have a new friend.

Wait until you discover a particular brand/model that you like. THEN you'll be struggling to eat. My personal "if I see one for sale somewhere I have to have it" knife is the Buck 110. You'll find yours.

That's how I got sucked in. It started with an innocent question about inexepensive folders for daily use back in December, and I'm still checking this site several times a week. :D

No Sam! no no nooooo!!!

Listen to what the others have said & take heed.

Leave now, escape while you still can, hanging around this site will only lead to ruin & insanity. It is a site run by knife-sellers for knife-buyers; makers talk to customers- madness I tell you! Sheer madness!!

I was just like you- stumbled in here by chance- only 2 months ago! it must have triggered some hidden psychosis- now I may be damned forever.
Damned to buy more & more knives, damned to post more & more esoteric questions, damned to a crazy spiral with no hope of satisfaction or escape...
get out now! before its too late!

Attend a knife show anywhere, meet a few makers, and it goes rapidly downhill from there...
Next thing you know, you'll be buyng a grinder, or at minimum, some really nice knives.

Before I found this place, I had something that resembled a life...alas...now I dream about S30v and flaming titanium. I constantly obsess about lockup and blade centeredness...I buy sharpening systems and operate them with the finesse of a neurosurgeon. My grass needs cutting, my oil needs changing, my eyes are growing closer together, I can hardly find a place to sit among all the sharp edges. I have more torx fittings than a Sears store and my dog thinks I died. I'm writing as fast as I can 'cause I probably forgot to pay the cable bill...and that's not all...

Oh sorry, I have to go now and check the "For Sale" forums.

RUN NOW AS FAST AS YOU CAN...at least freeze your credit cards in big blocks of ice :D :p :D
