I was wondering about A.K.T.I.? Do YOU think this org. will help to stop BS knife laws? I have been fighting for our 2nd amendmant rights since I was 17 I am now 30, AND I know its a LOSING battle. How will we fend off anti-knife laws? I am thinking of making EVERY customer of mine a member (If they agree, and I will pay the $15 for the first year) What do you think? I just looked at thier website and it requires a password SOOO that isnt too assuring, maybe some of you guys have insight into this group?
All I know is in England they have barrels in the police stations for PEOPLE to turn in thier wicked pocket knives!!!! I hope we NEVER see that here BUT it does seem par for the field!
ANY input would be GREATLY appreciated..

Trace, we need a voice. It seems the vocal minority always has the most vocal people and money. The AKTI site does have a link to click on. It's right above the members only button. Sorry for the confusion.

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong about AKTI's stance... but I always thought that the AKTI puts too much emphasis on our right to carry knives as tools, and not enough on our right to carry knives as weapons under the second amendment. This is the only thing that has prevented me from joining.

Even if AKTI succeeds in their goal of legal carry of utility knives, they may lose the bigger battle of legal carry of defense knives. It's the same issue with guns; our right to bear arms doesn't depend on whether the guns we have are useful for hunting or other sporting use. Until an organization comes along that isn't afraid to stand up for the right of citizens to carry knives as defensive weapons, I'm not interested, any more than I would be interested in joining a gun organization that promoted the use of sporting arms and neglected defensive arms.
