All of my hawks together.

Crossada.........nice hawks aside.......who made the beautiful Tommi knife you show in your second image? That's a smokin' nice Scandi blade. I'd like one exactly like it.

Here's a pic of my current collection. I'm sure I've posted it on here before, but I don't need an excuse to do so again! :D

that is a puukko from kellams kp line. one of the winter war versions.

I made that ballheaded warclub back in 2004. It's hand-carved from one solid piece of cherry heartwood.

It's about 24 inches long. The handle wrap is deer skin and the spike is an antler tine from a whitetailed deer.

I stained the ball part a different color for effect and it is sealed with satin polyurethane.

I do not use any power tools when I carve my warclubs. I use a couple of knives, a hand rasp, and a lot of sandpaper.

This one took about a month to finish.

A few more pics of it:

Wolf, please shoot me an email. I'd like to talk with you a little more about these.

CaptInsano... is that vietnam Tomahawk losing it's head?!!!

Haha, actually it already lost it's head. I jammed it back on for the picture. I also rehandled it with a roofing hammer handle that same day. It felt 10x better than the CS handle, but it broke as well after about 5 or 6 throws. I need a better way to wedge the head.

Here's one of the only 2 I have. It's not the typical hawk though. Fairly heavy and the bit is fairly wide also.

How did that pipe project come along?
I'll post some pics of mine soon
I have mostly Norlunds, True Temper Tomahawks, Millers Falls, L.L. Bean, Craftsman, etc
I'm too cheap to buy those fancy ones you guys got!!!

I'm waiting for my project hawk to arrive.I accidentally made the other one too pretty to mod...oops.So I'm still smoking cigars right now.
Trant Rock. All hawks are welcome here. From 5.00$ to 500.00$ and beyond.

Bringin' it back Old Skool
A blast from the past if you will
I know I got another Norlund in my house somewhere!! Maybe it will show up soon..
I also have one that is marked "U.S."
I'm assuming it's some sort of military hatchet??
I'm in the process of making handles for the 3 heads
I sold my Plumb and Keen Kutter broad axes cause I don't really like broad axe heads
Too heavy
I want to get some more of the small Craftsman ones
Those are cool
Kinda like mouse hawks

i really like the looks of the norlund head. would be interested to see what it looks like when it gets handled.

Here's my collection. Or, part of it, anyways - the working axes.

Competition axes are seperate, and please don't get me started on the saws (4 crosscut saws, probably 5 dozen antique bow saw blades, 5 frames, plus racing stuff.....oh, and then there's the other logging stuff, peaveys, pulp hooks, tree gaffs, an antique chainsaw.....)

The last pic is my biggest and smallest working axes. The big one that looks like it was butchered with a grinder really wasn't hit that hard - mostly photo lighting. It's a W.S. Emerson Handmade from Oakland, Maine. 8 inches long and 6.5 lbs, w/o handle. I sometimes use it for timbersports practice. The small one is a Kelly/TT Tommy Hawk WITHOUT the nail puller on the poll. I don't know why, but I HATE the way the Tommy Hawks look with the nail pullers.

If anyone has questions, go ahead and shoot. I am a total nerd for antique axes. An let me know if you want to see anything more closely.
