You're missing a 6OT:p

I've only got a couple OT's and no good pics. I'm looking forward to seein' some OT eye candy here. Thanks for the pics.:thumbup:

They are hard to see with the poor quality pics (it's just past sunset now), but there are a few Craftsman old timers there, I sure do like 'em. And one Master Mechanic 8ot. I'm going to have to google the 6OT!

Nice collection! Looking at your collection it got me to thinking about my father. He like Old Timers and used to carry a 250T every day for as long as I can remember. Over the years it became well worn and developed a beautiful dark gray patina. Out of all his knives (and he had plenty), it was his favorite. When he passed away my mom divided all his knives between me and my brother. There were real old Case knives, Old Timers, several Randalls, etc. but she never found the 250T. Out of all the knives he had, that was the only one I really wanted. Think I'll start looking for one for old times sake. Thanks for posting them.

Very nice collection. Just got a 33OT today. Used but still in great shape.

Need to pick up a Sharpfinger eventually. Me an a old Army buddy were joking about Sharpfingers & how sharp they got & the flimsy sheath. Both of us recalled sheathing the knife an stabbing ourselves in the leg. :)

Guys...there are some very , very nice looking knives that you have given us all a pleasure to look at...could I ask this...

rusty1 ...
the bottom photo of that knife..that looks to be a awesome knife...forgive me-as my knowledge on these is nill...is this a knife that is in the "harder to get bracket"?...or can i say the "rare" word, Nice Bolsters..the colouring of the scales( wood?) look great...I like it!! :)
Apologies in advance if this sounds a sill question.
Thanks very much
Duncan

Very nice collections. My goal lately is to hit all the tag and estate sales I can to find good quality older knives. The hunt is on.

Russell, absolutely FANTASTIC showing!:thumbup::thumbup:

Duncan, that 2OT is about the rarest of the OLD Timers. It was the first one they made, and made only a short time, circa about 1959 - 1961. Bone handles on those guys.

Hal, what's that reddish one third from the left? Ulster?

Thanks for posting. My first fixed blade was just like the large version in your photo, which my grandfather bought. I did some trapping when I was younger and skinned a number of muskrats and even a few foxes with it. Lost that knife and a Case trapper when our home was flooded years ago. Still miss those two knives from time to time. Both remind me of my grandfather, who always carried a Case Trapper, and as I mentioned, bought the Old Timer.

Duncan, to add, they often fetch well over $350.00. Mint condition even more! No such thing as silly questions here, That's how we learn! :thumbup:

Those are beautiful knives, thanks for sharing your pictures, gentlemen! I can remember seeing those Old Timers all over the place, and never being interested in them because I thought they were nothing special. Case and Buck were the traditional knives of choice for the men I knew growing up. Personally, I was interested in the latest whiz-bang one-handed, "tacticool" folders.

I wish I could go back in time, and pick up some of those knives I used to sneer at. I vividly recall seeing Old Timer and Uncle Henry displays in old-school hardware stores, collecting dust. They used to have Schrade knives all over the place in Wal Mart too. All gone now. :( Too bad more people didn't appreciate these wonderful knives when the company was still in business. I wish I had.
