All right you Old Timer hoarders, let's see 'em -

I've owned several Schrade pocket knives over the years and I have some of those "finger" fixed blades, but no big folders. My 194OT (well used) is one of my favorite EDC knives. When I post my phots, you won't see any of those nice shiny NIB knives that you see a few posts up from here. I'll tell you I aways had Schrade rather than Case and/or Buck when I was younger and never really felt "deprived".

My brother has a nice Schrade (I hope he still has it) and I may try to get it posted here if I can get him to loan it out for a picture.

I only have one NIB Schrade. It is a white delrin handled "Teddy Roosevelt" commemorative sold by the now defunct "OTASCO" stores. I'll make sure I get a picture of it in here.

Russell, that is an impressive group of Schrades you have and very good photography.

I just bought a 250T in pretty good condition the main blade hasn't been used much, but the smaller blade has been used and sharpened quite a bit. I was wondering, what are they generally worth? I picked mine up for $10 and it came with what appears to be a custom sheathe.

Shrade Old Timers are great. They have thier own personality. They are grippy, easy to sharpen. They are fun to hold, use, and carry. That is about all I can say about that. It is one of the few delrin scales that I can handle. I generally do not like delrin much, but the saw cut Old Timers I am just fine with. I love the striated finish on the blade too, once again, personality. The cost of them is still pretty good. If you are lucky, (like me) you can still find some in old mom and pop hardware stores in small towns. Ask them to open the display case even if it has chinese schrades in there, you may be pleasantly surprised and find a pre 2004 USA one NIB.

Hi everyone,
Ok..well the Old Timers may not be to everyones fancy, but to some neither are blonde 36-24-36 woman who go off like a pint of milk in a heat wave!!...and to me this just doesnt make sense!( how can you NOT like that?)
Old timers are what I would call the middle-low range priced knife that was produced to be affordable to the average joe...and yet...they have just grown in respect, and in collectability.
To me...they are such a great knife, wow...just look at those awesome knives above ^^
Great Steel, Great style, looking at this thread makes me thirst for more OT's.

Ok...(one of) my favorites...the 1940T, for a single bladed Trapper...I believe it doesnt get a lot better than this...keeping in mind the factory did not make this to sell at a custom knife price...and here is such a beautifull example of this all round American CLASSIC( if I may borrow your fantastic photo Rusty )

I have more, but haven't taken pics of all of them.

Great showing, folks. Wish I'd have bought & put back some of the slim trappers back when they were readily available. I did have the good sense to scoope up a few Sharpfingers.

Beautiful collections Guys!!!It is rather sad though, because that great peice of Americana is gone.

I could only come up with one little lonely used stockman Old Timer in my collection. But i do have a few nice Schrade Big uns!

Here is a 2OT, preceded by its Mom and Pop!:D

When you have a nice Jack pattern and tradition, you maintain it! It was a smart move by Schrade to utilize historic patterns to launch the OT lineup.

Some very nice knives guys. This is my one and only Schrade. It belonged to a long-time friend who was in the Navy with me. He passed away a year and a half ago and his widow passed it on to me. It's well worn but in good shape.

I've been dreaming of getting a 125OT like the one I carried throughout school. Seeing these 2OTs are making me think I need one of them too.
This is all I have right now. A 134OT and a 104OT.

Those are sweet. How far back do those date?

Rise, thread! Rise and be read!

I bought one of these knives: the 1940t with the shortened blade was the first knife I bought myself. (I broke the tip off throwing it into something of course:rolleyes:) The rest were old users from friends and relatives.

A fine old thread to bump.

Most of these are re-runs from the Schrade Collectors forum area.

An interesting collectible, even if it's not a knife.

Primble Old Timer with Craftsman blade. Occasional factory errors were a long-time tradition at Schrade. ;)

I have a question on theese Old Timers; Some of the knives have long pulls and others have the "regular" nailpinch to open. Is this in index of the time they were made? Or anything about the series they are made of?

Kind regards
Andi
