This is my second knife I am posting for sale on the Blade forums. This is one of my popular models. I work with A-2 tools steel mostly and keep 3 sizes of plate in stock. All of it at is Crucible Steel. I also work with CPM3-v, AEB-L stainless. So far my work has been all stock removal. I joined ABS and SOFA in Troy,Oh this last year, and have been forging this winter and working with 5160.
All of my steel is heat treated in shop using an Evenheat Programmable Oven. The A-2 is Heat treated, then it is tempered the first time. I follow the temper with a 16 hour soak in my Cryo Tank {Liquid Nitrogen}. After the Cryo soak and the steel warming up to room temp it goes back into the oven for a final temper. Each of my blades is tested with Ames tester for Hardness.
Most of knives are hunting knives and I use a full convex grind on them, and provide a leather strop with each for maintaining the edge.
This knife is an ALL ROUND HUNTER
the specs are:
A-2 Tool Steel
.156 " Thick-58 Hrc
Blade is convex ground and 4" long
Overall Length is 8.5 inches
Handles are Amboyna Burl w/Black Liners
I used Ferris Wheel Mosaic Pins w/ a lanyard ferrule also.
The knife comes with a Pouch type sheath made of 7-8 wt Show harness leather from Wickett and Craig
