WTS: TAD Dauntless MK4 in Carbon Fiber and S35VN, Benchmade 940-1501 in 20CV, and a Maserin Police in N690 with a custom scale. 3 awesomely, ridiculously good knives. You’d be a fool not to buy one of them (or all three)! I’m a reasonable human being and have tried to price these fairly. I’m not going to get offended if you make me an offer, but crazy lowball nonsense will be ignored. We’re all knife people, let’s treat each other accordingly. No trades as I have to pay for a foolish purchase I made here on the exchange.
Terms of sale: Buyer must be 18 years old and in compliance with all their local knife laws. Prices are PayPal G&S ONLY. I don’t do the “net to me” thing and I won’t deal friends and family…unless you can prove to me we’re related, and I’m going to want documentation. Price includes shipping. I will only ship CONUS (Not to NYC address).
Knives: They all come with their boxes, any paperwork, and additional fixings (see below) All 3 knives have been lightly used. The heaviest duty any of these have seen is breaking down boxes. I have more knives than a normal human being should and as a result, nothing gets heavily used. They have all been maintained on a sharpmaker (except possibly the 940-details below). Let me know if you need more detailed/better pics.
Maserin Police: $195 3.75 inch blade of N690. Lockup is solid with no movement. Flips great, centered, and drops shut with a mild shake. It’s no Grimsmo, but it isn’t priced like one either! Lightly used and maintained on the sharpmaker. These are going for around $175-$200 new on the interwebs, but I have nearly that much into the custom scale (blue C-tek) and backspacer (G-10). Scale and backspacer were done by Sheppard CC and the results are stellar. I’ve included the original scale and “skull crusher” backspacer if you want to go back to factory spec…but if you wanted that, you’d just go get yourself a new one. Helpfully comes with instructions on how to use a liner lock….it’s a frame lock, but I guess the principle is the same?
TAD Dauntless MK4: $315 Carbon Fiber, DLC, and S35VN. Centered and lockup is solid as a rock. It fires out on the thumb studs perfectly and drops shut with the lightest of shakes. Few snail trails on the lock-side and clip. DLC looks pretty good other than a couple tiny spots on either side of the blade towards the front of the choil area where the previous owner likely nicked it while sharpening (see pics). On the upside, he did a good job with the edge. On the downside, he loctitited that pivot within an inch of its life and of course it is free spinning! Lucky for you, I remedied the problem. I had Josh at REK put in a new pivot which is tooled on both sides AND I ordered a brand new replacement pivot and all new screws from TAD in the event you want to return it to it’s factory state. Here’s a thread I made awhile back comparing the MK4 to the Hawk version of the Dauntless. https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/dauntless-mk4-vs-hawk-dauntless.1533949/
Benchmade 940-1501: $170 Knifeworks Exclusive in 20CV and Black and Blue G10. In really good shape. I know what you’re thinking…”Is that thing actually centered? Can that be real?” Oh, it’s real alright. Real………close. Just a hair off. I typically maintain my knives on a sharpmaker and this one probably was too. But when I look at the edge under magnification, it looks like the factory grind lines are intact. Let’s say I did hit it with the sharpmaker just to be safe. I replaced the factory clip with a black, split arrow. They’re both included.
