About a week ago I came across some Desert Ironwood Scales that were poorly cut but still very nice looking wood.
I spent the day yesterday seeing what I could salvage. After weeding out the flawed pieces and sanding the others all flat and even, this is what I was able to come up with.
Nice contrasting colors and a good metallic flash to the wood. Some of the sets show a slight color change when the light hits them from different angles.
