I have for sale seven lanyard beads. These are great on knife lanyards, keychains, zipper pulls, ceiling fan and light pulls. #1 in the first picture is genuine antique carved mother of pearl from the 19th century. The drilled lanyard hole is lined with brass tubing. The hole where the original tool attached at the top has been filled with epoxy. SOLD shipped within the US. #2 is genuine mother of pearl from the 19th century. The drilled lanyard hole is lined with brass tubing. SOLD. #3 is genuine 19th century stag. The hole where the original tool attached at the top has been filled with epoxy. SOLD. #5 is genuine New Zealand paua shell. The drilled lanyard hole is lined with brass tubing. SOLD. #6 is genuine 19th century hard rubber. The drilled lanyard hole is lined with stainless steel tubing. Hard rubber or Ebonite was patented by Charles Goodyear in 1844 and first used for knife handles around 1856. Ebonite's name comes from its intended use as an artificial substitute for ebony wood. SOLD. #7 is genuine mammoth ivory. This one consists of two pieces of matched mammoth ivory epoxied together bark side out with a drilled lanyard hole lined with brass tubing. SOLD. Pictures show both sides of each piece. Where the paua shell is flipped over so to are the others. Payment can be made through Paypal or with a USPS money order.
