ALL SOLD OR WITHDRAWN
Welcome to the SpydercoPalooza! Time to clean the closet of a bunch of things I don't use and probably never will. It's a fine line between collecting and hoarding and I'm trying to make sure I stay on the collecting side.
All knives come with original boxes and papers unless otherwise noted, you are responsible for determining if you are legally allowed to own and purchase knives you agree to purchase.
Accepting payment with Paypal G&S only - NO NOTES, CONUS only.
"I'll take it" or "Dude, it's mine! or "YOLO!" takes priority over PMs.
No trades, looking to sell.
1. SOLD Dragonfly Nishijin with ZDP-189 blade: SOLD
Absolutely stunning knife. Not perfect - if you look really close and get it in the right light, there are some marks on the handle and the blade, but you've got to reeeeeeeally look. Since I've had it it has never been carried or sharpened. I think it might not have ever been sharpened by the looks of the grinds and the tip, but I obviously can't swear to it. As you can see in the photos and videos, it looks to have been carried fairly gently, never dropped or scuffed on the edges or ends. Slightly favors clip side. An excellent specimen of an amazing knife. SOLD SV $165 SOLD $175
2. SOLD Spyderco Sage 1 w/Carbon Fiber Laminate scales: SOLD
Yet another stop along my Journey of the Knife. No box, second owner, this has been carried and shows it: marks along spine, some very light scratches on blade, but it may still have factory edge - except for the microchip near the tip. I got it about the same time as a Sage 5 and I prefer the compression lock, so this one has sat since I've gotten it. Check the pictures - if you're looking for a collector piece, this ain't it. If you're looking to save money on a Sage 1 in very good condition, this is right up your alley. That being said, it took some work to get the issues in the picture - they are minor, but letting you know they are there. Blade looks dead center to my eyes, but if it's not, it's just a smidge off. SOLD SV: $90 SOLD $105
3. SOLD Spyderco Baby Horn: SOLD
Second owner, no box, this is a sweet little knife. Unfortunately, it fits my hand weirdly - not a three-finger knife, not a four-finger knife, so I just never warmed to it. Never carried or cut with it, the previous owner did so but gently. Needle-sharp tip makes me guess it's never been sharpened. Blade may favor clip side a hair, but hard to tell. SOLD SV: $100 SOLD $105
4. SOLD Lum Chinese Folder Nishijin: SOLD
Rare knife, fantastic condition. This has been carried, although it may have been used very rarely if at all. Clip has some paint wear, handles have some marks if you look closely. But look at that blade - shiny as can be. Pointy as if it came straight from the factory. Not the original owner, does not come with a box, but there are plenty of photos and video to check the condition of this rare beauty. Blade is slightly off to the show side, but just a bit. SOLD SV: $155 SOLD
5. SOLD Teal S30V Dragonfly SOLD
Bought a handful of these because the Dragonfly is my favorite knife and I wanted better steel in my carry knives. Only ended up using a few, so this one needs to go - reeeeeeealy trying to not be a hoarder. Never carried, never cut, never used. Factory fresh. SOLD SV: $110 $120 SOLD
6. SOLD ZDP-198 Dragonfly SOLD
Bought because I dig Dragonflys, I dig green - what could go wrong, right? ZDP green is a very very dark green, so dark it's almost black. Blackgreen, if you will. Since I was looking for a non-black knife, this was never carried, never cut with. Just sat in the box next to a pool of my disappointment. SOLD SV: $90 SOLD
7. SOLD FrankenTeal/V-Toku Dragonfly SOLD
V-Toku blade, Teal handle - a match made in heaven. Or, at least, a match made of some leftover parts. Why? I dig the color of the VToku handle but not the steel. I do, however, like the S30V steel of the Teal Dragonfly. Which results in a Teal-handled, V-Toku steel FrankenDragonfly that I'll never use. Handle is brand new, never used, never carried, but yes, disassembled and reassembled (with love). Blade looks to be used, but it could be because the outside of the V-Tokus scratch easily. I am the second owner of the V-toku. SOLD SV: $90 SOLD
8. WITHDRAWN Native 5 G10 with liners WITHDRAWN
Purchased this used because I dig knives with liners, which this has in spades. However, I know I'll need to end up getting different scales for it, then a clip, then ti hardware, then... it's another moneypit knife that I don't totally love. Does it need those things? Of course not, but I know myself. What you get is a Native 5 with real liners, a S35VN blade, fantastic condition, centered blade, never used or carried by me, but has been carried a fair amount by previous owner(s) - you can feel it in the "shinyness" of the G10 that older Spydercos can get. Still, the blade looks perfect and potentially never used - I did not see any sharpening marks. WITHDRAWN SV: $140 WITHDRAWN $150
9. SOLD Chaparral Raffir Noble 1 SOLD
Bought this because I love the Chaparral. I don't, however, love these scales. They're nice, but they're not for me. Never used, never carried, took them out of the box and was decidedly "meh" about them (unlike the ti, the CF and the FRN Chaparrals, all three of which I love and hoard). The handles may have some scuffs on them but that's only because a feather gently touching the scale seems to scuff it. SOLD SV: $110 SOLD
10. SOLD Chaparral Raffir Noble 2 SOLD
Bought this because I thought, "Maybe it's the pattern of the other one I didn't like." Nope, it was the scales themselves. Beautiful knife, but I'm sticking with the Carbon Fiber, the FRN and the Ti. This beauty has never carried, never used, may have some scuffs on the handles because they'll scuff just looking at them. SOLD V: $100 SOLD $110
11. SOLD Delica S30V blade, Green/Yellow Zome handle SOLD
Bought because I dig Delicas and this Zome came with S30V steel - better than VG10 but not so spendy as some of the higher quality blade steels. But then two things happened. First, I fell prey to the "I can't use it it's a special edition" syndrome as I so often do. Second, I traded in to some nicely used M390 Delicas that I don't feel bad about carrying, hence, this goes on the chopping block. Full disclosure: I took this apart and lubed it because I planned on keeping it. That being said I never carried or used it, it just sat in the box. SOLD SV: $120 SOLD
12: SOLD Delica CTS-204p blade, Forest Green handle SOLD
Bought these because they're CTS 204-P and a beautiful green (not ZDP blackgreen) and because they're a sprint run. And because they're sprints, I found myself reluctant to use or carry them. Then I traded into some already used M390 Delicas and I knew this and it's twin would never see the light of day while under my ownership. Never carried, never cut, straight from KnifeCenter and stayed in their respective boxes. BOTH SOLD SV: $100 EACH - BOTH SOLD
13: SOLD Delica VG-10, Blue handle SOLD
Bought these to use as project knives: I was gonna get fancy scales, clips, hardware, the whole nine-yards. Got distracted by Para 3s and by the time I came back around to these, I'd already traded into M390 Delicas with most of what I was already looking for. Never cut, never carried, brand new with the Brand New FRN Feel. SOLD SV: $70 EACH - BOTH SOLD
14: FrankenDelica SOLD
It came from KnivePlus. Started life as a Delica Wharncliffe but then went down a... darker path. Spine of blade was reprofiled, as far as I can tell it is the same length as the original Delica Wharnie (KnivesPlus site says so, also). KnivesPlus added a sharpening choil and then acid washed the blade, lockbar and clip. They sharpened it up nice and scary sharp but I haven't cut anything with it since I got it and neither did the original owner. Added photos because the video makes it look like washed out hot crap. Photos are more indicative of what it looks on the real. I love this knife, but every time I look at that blade, I think "murder weapon." Swapped everything into a fresh blue Delica FRN and now when I look at it, I think "blue murder weapon." She's gotta go. Yes, she's a she, she told me. Blade is centered. SOLD SV: $90 SOLD (comes with silver and black clips and Spyderco original box with KnivesPlus stocking sticker on end.) Would cost 123 from KP and would come in black instead of comforting, calming blue.
Thanks for looking!
