Hi all. I have been using these uhmw sanding backers for shallow hollow ground blade finishing. These work well in combination with curved platens.
One of the difficulties in hand sanding knives like yanagi or sashimi knife is getting those lengthwise sanding marks on the concave (urasaki) side of the grind.
I made 5 extra sets and I will probably never need them. The uhmw holds up really well. These are precision machined and have slight radius to knock off the sharp corners.
Specs are:
.75" x 5.5" x 2.75"
The shallow curved edges are opposite the writing.
There are 4 blocks in each set 36, 48, 60, and 72 deg.
I am asking SPF shipped CONUS per set. You can send paypal payment to timostheos@hotmail.com.
I can ship these out monday
