I lost one of the best knives that I've ever carried, " The Emerson Super CCQ-8". I opened the case where I keep my folders and it was gone. I think I had it with me when I mowed and trimmed the lawn a few days ago. I've been searching the whole yard and anywhere else I may have left it. I did go out to several stores that evening and it may have fallen out of my pocket. This was a great knife and loosing it really pisses me off. I just needed to vent a little bit.

Hopefully it will show up somewhere in your house or car. I've ended up with some duplicate knives and flashlights during that "lost" time.

Man I hope it shows up. It's like an obsession trying to find it. I appreciate your response.

I love the,"When did you have it last?" helpful comments.

"Err, well if I knew that it wouldn't be lost would it?"

Very astute comments. I purchased a CQC-10 to appease the absence of the Super 8, but there is no comparison.

Good choice on the 10. I've been looking at a couple in the exchange. Once your 10 arrives, you'll probably find theSuper 8. Well, that's what usually happens to me at-least.

I haven't found it yet. I like the CQC-10 quite a bit but, I think it would be a lot nicer without the whole in the blade.

Metal detector? Or just mow the yard again. It would probably show up for sure then!;)--KV

Sorry to hear about your super 8. The 10 is my favorite Emerson. But, it's very different from the super 8. Try the journeyman. The handle is slightly different, but I believe it's the same blade as the 10, only with a thumb stud.

I just hope the next time you mow the lawn again that you don't hear a big "CLUNK!" and the mower spits out your Super CQC-8.
Sorry for your loss. I would be pissed too. Hope you find it. My friend just lost his Benchmade Griptilian that I had my parents buy for him for Christmas a couple days ago and he has been back tracking since then. I felt bad and gave him a loaner for the meantime.

I feel for ya, I lost my BM Barrage a few months ago while I was at the dump. Was not as nice as the CQC-super 8, but It was a great EDC. Now I am back to carrying my CQC-Super 7 and Extream Ratio MPC. Hope it turns up for ya.

I plan on mowing soon. I'll be on the lookout for it. The QCQ-10 does have a very comfortable grip and I'm liking it more now.

I did a grid search with a small rake before I mowed. Nothing yet. A metal detector's a good idea.

I did a very thorough search before mowing. Nothing has turned up yet and at this point, I'm not feeling confident that it will.

I know. It will not be cheap to replace. I searched under the car seats to no avail. It could have snagged it on a seat belt and ended up in a parking lot.
