picked up a whistle today from crappy tires as well as a mini maglight they had on special.

I hate to sharpshoot but I would upgrade the Mini Mag with the night eyes led upgrade, cost less than 10 bucks and adds a bunch of run time and durability to the standard mini mag. Chris
 
How about putting the condom in your vest or pocket?? In case you need to ditch your bag you still might have something to hold water in??

I agree with this - I've had failures with the Mini Mag bulbs (fumbling in screwing the reflector/lens head back onto the body and crunching the little bulb in the process). There's a spare in the tailcap but ultimately you'd be better served by the reliability of an LED. And LED's run forever - no worries that you've only got a few hours of light.
 
well in that case i guess i'll go pick up an inova =) and have my maglight as a back up... works out
