I have been working on compileing all the papers and book about knife making into one pdf file for download. i am needing your help rounding them all up.

its going to have a ton of stuff and i mean a ton. it's also going to be large but i hate having to keep track of all the pdf files so i thought i would compile them.

I know that it is already a big undertaking, but can it be indexed as well?

Why not just put them into a folder and keep them separate? Huge/long pdfs are also slower and not necessarily convenient to navigate.

I'm thinking of doing a pdf entitled "the words of Kevin R. Cashen" it should be great

NO WAY!! i was just going to do the same thing for myself with kevin's stuff! Great minds think alike!
I have pdf's of some of VerHoven's stuff. i could email it to you but it is quite large! i have some of it on scribd, and am working on getting metallurgy for bladesmiths back up there.

I agree about the copyright concern. It isn't fair to the publishers or authors - some of whom are friends here and elsewhere - Ed Caffrey - Wayne Goddard, Ed Fowler and more.

Now if Kevin and others don't mind their work being used outside the forum, I'd sure snaffle it up in a hurry - but I think it's important to ask permission first.

This is supposed to be the honorable craft. Lets keep it that way.
