Zt 0600, zt 0888, and third the zt 0999 would be my top 3

Though I have all of the versions of the 0392 so far, and love them, the 0600 series are my favorites.

Edit:
I just got my ZT0606BLK today, and now I think that "favorite" is now a tie between the 0600 series and 0606 series!

In the prototype the writing was in red (now it's black on the frame spine and no color on frame and clip), various logo reveals under the pivot when open and closed (none in final version) and wrap-around pocket clip.

You can see all the prototype details in this video clip from the 2015 Blade show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlk7RubVxVA&t=4m46s

Thank you. Also the carbon fiber insert on the proto was solid rather than having a metal center piece.

Yes. I think they put that center metal insert into the CF inlay of the blade for structural integrity. I liked the plain CF better as well.

I think the 0777 is still the best there is. Followed by the recently released 0999 and then the 454 and 606.

After 4 days of voting and 84 votes with the 0777 way ahead in first place there's still a very tight battle for second place in this order:

  • 0801
  • 0454
  • 0392
  • 0999
  • 0600

The 0777 is clearly in the lead.

The 454, 600, and 999 are tied with the 801 one vote ahead. Maybe that means that for all the high tech and innovation the majority of knife nuts really just want a good, decently stout knife that isn't ridiculous or ugly. Only one knife on that list has ever been accused of being ugly and it has a lot of tech behind it to offset it's looks while the others rely on actual design and high standards.

Telling. Very telling.

One of the key reasons for the success of the 0777 in all its various blade steel and blade coatings is that for a folder with a 3.75" blade it only weighs a little over 4 ounces! It has a remarkable sub-frame lock with expensive CF milling. Also, the looks and colors are not over the top.

The one consistent complaint about ZT folders has been the relatively heavy weight. I wish they would skeletonize the titanium for some weight reduction. They've done some weight reductions with CF on the presentation side like 0452CF, 0450CF, 0804CF, 0562CF, etc.

ZT Limited Editions are distinct from the ZT Production Models. They're design, engineering and manufacturing showpieces while still working knives.

0560CBCF

So many things going on, on one knife that I had never seen all tried before at that price point.
A lot of high end materials/processes/mechanisms.

I think the success of the CBCF (I think it was originally going to be 500 or 1000pcs but ended up being much more) led to all these "limited models" we have today, for better or worse..

Mine would be - 0888 std, 0999, 0888MAX, 0606CF and the 0560CF.
I don’t own a 0777 but I’ll now have to buy one to see why it’s so well revered.

Nearly 2 year old thread needs a nearly 2 year old update. You should consider starting a new thread.

The vote tallies in this old thread are meaningless because when BF moved to a new forum software all polls became zero!

0392 is the winner
If you count all the variations of the 0392 you’re probably right. It’s a well built and designed beauty. I now own three variants. Every time I think of selling one all I have to do is handle and flip it, then it goes right back into the vault. Dangit!

Same here. I only own two, but love them both. This is one of them. I just love the look of the blue and silver. The other is the BLK.
