I first built this design 12 years ago; in fact it was the first knife I built from scratch using old files and hand tools. Over the years it's proven popular as anything from a deer knife to a kitchen knife, and everything in-between. Very similar to the knife designed by Horace Kephart, but without the bottom guard he used; it's still just as functional for those who want a light, useful carry/utility knife.
Specs:
The blade is flatground from 3/32 inch D-2; Ht'd and cryo'd by D'Holder. Has a distal taper, satin finish and convex edge. The handle is made from stabilized Australian Wandoo wood(also known as white gum) with 7/32 inch copper and N/S mosaics. Has a red liner. The sheath is 8/9 oz veggie tanned bridle leather. Saddle stitched and waterproofed with Sno-seal.
It weighs 4.1 oz. Blade length is 4 inches(tip to plunge) and the OAL is 8 7/8 inches.
Price is $170.00USD. Includes postage as far as the UK. No paypal fees. Check/MO/Paypal accepted. My e-mail/paypal is casmircb@windstream.net.
Thanks for looking.
