I got bought this knife over a decade ago and is has been a user. I've used it as a camp knife and taken it on a few field ops when I was in the service.
The knife has a 9" blade made of 1/4" deferentially heat treated 5160 with a lacquered coating, which has worn off at some spots.
The handle is contoured canvas micarta with red pinstripe spacers and a brass guard, the pommel is aluminium. This has been used a lot and there is pine resin and tree sap caked on the blade.
There are no rolls or chips on the edge, this knife is extremely well made with very good fit and finish. The sheath is basically a kydex slip, its retention is ok and it could use some new hardware.
The maker, Allen Blade is notorious on the forums and you can easily find an 88 page thread that outlines what happened to him.
I am asking for $SOLD shipped including pp fees. *it may take a couple of days for me to ship the knife this week
This knife is an excellent chopper and if you are looking for a heavy large knife this is an excellent value.
