Allen Blade order status

Has anybody talked to Allen Blade lately?

I paid for a knife the first of December that was suposed to ship the middle of December and still have not recieved it.

Everytime I talk to Allen, he tells me it will be ready in a few weeks. This has been going on since January. ( I have e-mailed & talked to him at least 8 times )

Allen seems like a good guy, but, I don't know him personally. Should I be worried?

Is anybody else having this problem?

I'm not worried, but I am still waiting. I heard from Allen last week and he told me the same thing, "A few more weeks." It sounds like he's having a hard time getting his shop up and running. He's got a lot of work ahead of him, all I can do is wish him well and keep on waiting.

I know this has been posted elsewhere, but i'm still not having any luck getting a reply from Allen Via E-mail....

Does anyone have a working e-mail address for him?

If you have something on order with Allen, he knows you're waiting and he's trying to get everything out as soon as possible.
If you're looking to order something, I would wait a little bit and let him get caught up.

Allen hasn't been posting here or visiting Chat because he's trying to get caught up and not because he's trying to duck anyone.

And I for one much prefer a "smartass" to a "dumbass".

i actually talked to Allen today on AIM, if you have it he's on relatively often. I have no doubts that he is merely having a bit of trouble getting everything up and running.

I got one on order from some time back in like Octoberish. Paid up front for it too. Am I worried? Not in the least.

Allen will make good, and I know that when it gets here it will be top notch stuff as usual.... worth more than I paid too, IMHO.

Things come up for people, and I got no problem when they do. I got lotsa other knives to use in the meantime. (I hear ya, Gus

I thought I needed to follow up my origional post.

Allen e-mailed me today. He was polite in his e-mail ( as he always is when I talk to him ), but, thought I was mad. I e-mailed him back and told him i was not mad, just worried. This is my first custom knife purchase and I guess I am not used to this.

I am in the same boat as you. I ordered a MEUK 3-4 months ago. and it is my first hand made blade too. And like everyone else who has chimed in, I too am just being extra patient, given the circumstances Allen is in.

He already tried moving, but we found him right away!!

Allen't only option is to make our knives!
I know that I'll enjoy my MEUK when it arrives.
