Allow me to introduce myself......

Yeah, but there have been times when it has made me say, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?":D....but those are very rare days indeed;)

Were you thinking of me when you wrote that? I get that Whiskey Tango Foxtrot stuff a lot. Never knew what it meant.

Still trying to decifer Romeo Foxtrot, never been accused of that one to my face anyhow.

Don't try too hard, Bawanna. I don't want you to become frustrated and think it's turned into a Charlie Foxtrot.

Hey I got Charlie Foxtrot (I used to be in construction) and Charlie Romeo Foxtrot, (I'm old).

I think I'm a getting the hang of this Greek language stuff.

Are you a HAM Lima? Looks like the end of a call sign? 73's if so and greetings if not;)

No I'm not, I had some friends who would use our initials (especially after a few beers) and since they were all military guys it came out like a call sign. My favorite was a guys last name that started with a W (whiskey) :) Just a nod to friends who have all gone in harms way A LOT.

Yep! Hats off to them guys:cool: "73's" in HAM talk means greetings! End of my call sign is Alpha Bravo Lima.

Welcome to the group LimaBravo6 - there's lots of good folks that hang out around here.

Hey ndog, didn't know you were a ham - I've had a license for years, but haven't been very active lately - Kilo Charlie 5 Sierra Foxtrot Whiskey - 73's back at ya'

Ah thanks man you were just before me. Kilo Delta 5 Alpha Bravo Lima. I havent done much in a long time either. My father in law got me into it after "an incident". He was VP2VM registered in the US Virgin islands. We lived in the Virgin Islands when Hurricane Hugo passed through as Cat 4 they say but it was actually still a Cat 5 after it demolished Montserrat. He had exclusive communication with CNN during the whole thing. I had climbed a tall coconut tree and put up an antenna just before the storm and it survived until they eye passed over us. I litterally had to pull him from the radio because glass was blowing out and coconuts flying by at 200 miles an hr. We got 220mph winds where I was. Glad to be alive. I could go on and on about that. That was a life changing event for sure. I got my license after that.

Welcome to the HI and blade forum, Leo
