Hi guys (gals?)
I'm a long time loiterer, but I recently finished my first bk2 mod and would like to share some pics.
How the heck do I upload them?

Upload them to Photobucket, or the like, then paste the codes here. Welcome to the forum.

You are cheap.....and easy.

Qualities which are, in my book, admirable ;).

Welcome to the fray, CV. Looking forward to when you figure out the pics. BTW, I use flickr.....if you click "Reply With Quote" to this post, you'll see the HTML that make the pic happen - though you don't have to actually reply....

Here she is dressed.

I used citristrip to remove the coating, added jimping with a hand file and then with carbide tip on Dremel, same with the choil, put a 90 on the spine, 6 layers of chipotle Tabasco for the patina, black tea dyed the micarta scales and upgraded to stainless hardware. I received lots of insight from posts and pics on Blade Forums, so thanks you guys for the inspiration! I have another bk2 and a crewman in the box waiting for a makeover.

Well look at you go. Nice work brother. And cool name too. To be a be a Beckerhead, 5 decent threads here in this sub + 50 odd posts as well and 75 posts all told in BF then go to the Beckerhead sign up thread, show us your $#!+ then wait for the Moose or the knife-wielding-knitted-pokèmon thingy (Bladite) to use every scrap of brain power they possess to tally up the score then BH Number Ahoy! Heavens knows, Derek might even sign you up..

By the way, you better actually reply to Mike (Granite State of Mike) or he gets sad.. :D:D:D:D

Also CV, please excuse my odd demeanor. I'm not getting any sleep and these guys know WHY I'm not getting any sleep. Yeah yeah, laugh it up guys..

Here is my other bk2 stripped with custom Bocote handles. I probably won't patina this one. I'm undecided what mods if any will be made to the blade.

Looking excellent. Glad you figured out the pics - make the thread SO much more enjoyable. Especially with your pics. Nice work!

Awesome! I really dig the choil...its very subtle, I didn't even notice it until I read about it lol. That's exactly what I had in mind for my 12 but....I'm lazy lol, and busy.

Nice work, keepem coming!

Fellow Beckermen,
I am in quite the predicament. I am feeling the urge to click the magic yellow button on Amazon.
The options are: bk9, bk7, bull dozier ( any one have this one? ), bk10 OR a third bk2. I am not a bushcrafter, but enjoy the out of doors immensely. I also like to be somewhat unemcombered ( paying no attention to the heft of the Campanion of course!) with equipment. I trying to imagine a scenario where I would use the bk9/7 in full since the bk2 has always been plenty for my needs. Thoughts?

BK9 is ever so useful - and when you have it in your hand, you will figure out any number of scenarios in which to use it. Not really any heavier than the 2, but chops and batons like the King that it is. Of all the ones you listed, I'd go with the 9.
