I've got a headlamp from Wally. Can't remember what kind it is, but it works well. Guyon, do you like the lumbar packs okay, or do you prefer a small daypack?

I like a daypack better, though I am getting more and more used to my Maxped murses on short outings. For the life of me, I can't remember WHY I bought the lumbar pack. It was probably on clearance. I'll see if I can dig it out and get a picture. I also have a very small Camelbak lumbar pack that is mainly just for hydration. I got it on crazy clearance for like $12 and plan to use it with the SUP in the summer.

I was skeptical about the 150 lumens on the Ozark Trails headlamp, but it's definitely the brightest headlamp I own.

I don't think you have the stones.

If you taint this thread with mod sass, Bladite will lock it down.

Hey, if any of you run across the Coleman Max Anodized Aluminum cook sets, give me a shout please.
I'm seeing reports of these clearanced out for anywhere from $10 to $25, but they appear to be hit or miss.
Supposedly at the same place I got my Ozark Trails headlamp BTW, but I have not found the set yet.

If you still need one, I'm pretty sure I have a spare - but will check and see if they're on clearance here, too.

If you still need one

I'm not sure I'd use the word "need".

However, if I could pick up the set cheaply, I'd pair it with one of the small $6 stoves and put it in my wife's emergency kit in the car.
There's still three or four area stores here I haven't checked yet, but the clearance prices I've seen have varied a lot.
BTW, my other $6 stoves came in on the rice barges--the big stoves like yours that is--and they are pretty cool.

I'll check the local stores and see if they have any under $20 - sound reasonable to you?

Have you checked out the little Stanley cookpot at smallFART for 14 clams?

I have one of those so I could order one or two of those rice burners you keep mentioning.
Looks like it would easily fit with canister and stove into a 12x5 and a stainless cup fits over the bottom (two cups are nested inside). But I swear I've seen those Colemans at one of the local MEGAmart stores. I'll look next time. Using their website is like trying to navigate in the Amazon (the place in South America) Jungle...

I already have scuffs and scratches all over the RTAK2!! This thing is a good cardboard slicer!!

Im loving this knife more and more!!

The RTAK2 makes it 26" slicing thru cardboard with a decent swing. It was fun so i did it a few times, every time it made it thru the 26" without "pushing" in the cardboard or moving it out the way and getting stuck or even slowing down for that matter.

The heavy bowie went 11" before it got stuck, it pushes the cardboard in some and the cardboard swings away the first time, the 2nd time it went 15" but I think that dulled it a little because after that i was only making it in 8-10"

I need to clean the edge up on the bowie, thin it just a bit i think.

And i need longer cardboard for the RTAK2 :D

The cardboard hangs from the roof in my basement and i take horizontal slices from it. If the knife doesnt cut fast and clean the cardboard moves and the knife gets "stuck" but a fast clean slice and it makes it right thru.

Just for fun.
