so guys and gals iam almost done with my first knife so here are some specs on it
overall:9
blade length:4 1/4'long
cutting edge:4'
handle length:4 1/2'long
thickness:1/8th
steel:0-1
grind:hallow
those are the specs i plan on putting a natural canvas Micarta handle with 3 soild pins and a lanyard hole iam still thinking about the sheath but mostlikely i will do a kydex sheath so here are some pics

Man if thats your first "stab" at making a knife, I would say your a natural.. The design is very clean and usefull, and the ginds look great! Very well done! Looking forward to seeing it finished.:thumbup:

Nice first knife.

Just a suggestion, but next time you might want to scale the image down in size to say 1024 or 1500 wide.

This is 1500 wide.

Those lines are really nice. Each curve flows into the next just right. I really like it!

The flat grind also looks great.

It's gonna be a fantastic companion for you!
 
Thats gonna be neat. I like that Bird head handle. Thats it, making a knife is going on my bucket list.
 
thanks guys my mentor help me a little but i did most if not all the work i used his burr king 2x72 but i will start useing my trusty 1x30 but here is a new pic the end is near

Looking really good. Great functional blade shape. I also love natural mircata. Nice work!
 
If I had to describe a pattern for my ideal knife, it would look about like that. Very nice.:thumbup:
