Almost finished and a question

Hi All,

As you can see from the picture I am just about finished with this knife. Literally I just need to epoxy it all together. So here is the question. When setting a hidden tang I usually fill the handle with epoxy about 4/5 full then push in the tang. No big deal the epoxy gets displaced and I clean it up with acetone. Usually while doing this I have the handle taped up to help with the clean up. In this case because I need to line up the file work on the bronze and the handle I will have to let the epoxy set up some before cleaning up the overflow. I don't want it setting up in the groves in the handle. I use 1 hour epoxy for this and before I start I need to know how long I can let the epoxy sit before it cures to much to be removed. Or any other suggestions. Sorry about the wordy question.

You could carefully smear vasoline on the handle portion to prevent the epoxy from taking hold. After it has started to set up, you could remove the excess and clean up with WD40 or acetone.
