almost time! Bud Nealy Pesh Kabz VS. Dozier Toothpick

Good Evening All-

Met with Bud Nealy at the East Coast Custom Knife Show in 2001. Very nice and well-spoken guy. They make some SWEET knives out in Pennsylvania.

Came "this" close to getting a small Pesh Kabz in Damascus, but I decided to keep my money in my wallet.

Having handled a wide variety of his offerings (at the time), my vote would still be for the small Pesh Kabz. The fact-of-the-matter is that these are some THIN knives. Given their slim design, I believe a smaller size favors this arrangement.

Most folders tend to be thicker than these fixed blades....so 4.00" would be my upper-limit on length.

That Appenzell is sweet.
I didn't see that on his table in March.
Go for it!

Definetly the Appenzell over the Pesh! I like that alot...I'm surprised I never checked that one out, me being a Bud Nealy freak and all. The MASS System is a plus too. There is something about a magnet(MCS) and a knife that doesn't sit well with me. In any event...you won't be disapointed! Bud and his crew are excellent to deal with on all levels. I sent one of my Amoebas down to be repaired because the sheath was way to tight and he made me a brand new sheath, plus he buffed out a scratch that was left from the first sheath. Good Luck and enjoy!

I think you may have even inspired me to get a Kinzhal a lot sooner than a lot later. That was going to be my next knife purchase anyway...
