The Hinderer XM-18 3" is too small!!!
It is if u hold it wrong, there is a reason there is a choil, USE IT!!!
I love choils on all my knives and i love that my index finger just nearly touching the sharp blade.
My hands are size 11 and the 3" fits me perfect :) ( they could prob even be 2 sizes bigger and fit this gorgeous knife)
I LOVE everything about this knife, the looks, the size, the feeling, the ergonomics, the steel, i can pimp my knife if i want and the price ( got it in a lottery).
( i did have a 3.5 spanto and traded it for a BUSSE NMSFNO)

If i buy another XM-18 its gonna be a 3".

I agree wholeheartedly!
the 3 this the size for me!!
weeeeeeee ;)
sure shes a small knife but she packs a big punch!
seriously though, I prefer smaller knives for edc
with strider I go with a PT
3.5's and SNG's are nice but a tad to big, weightily, not easily pocketable and tend to scare sheeple

Yeah, its the perfect size for a EDC, i want and need more of these knives :)

You can use the coil, add a short lanyard, or do both.

Some dislike the choil, have cut their finger, etc. It's like most everything that exists, personal preference comes into play.

Around the house it's a 3 and a 3.5.
Out, it's a 3.5 and a 24.

The little 3" Slicer is an excellent go most anywhere EDC.

That's a great in-hand pic. Smaller than I realized, but not too small when you make use of that choil... very good point.

I just joined the hinderer family of owners last week by Acquiring a 3 and i couldn't agree more. Its a little big knife for sure. I'm not sure if the flipper is for me or not, but i definitely like the choil. Like my Strider PT.

IMO, the 3" is the perfect size for edc. More so if the weight and size of a knife bothers you a lot...

I love my 3" slicer for day to day cutting. My brother uses the hell out of his knives, and totally loves the one I gave him recently. It'll last him the rest of his life.

If I ever get a hinderer (which I highly doubt) I would get the 3". I think itd be perfect for me

I give this suggestion from time to time. These knives are not too far out of reach if you plan a bit.

For example, if you can save $20/ week towards a new knife, it only takes 50 weeks to get to $1K. So if you started now, by this time 2013, you'd easily have the funds. Even if you could not manage to save the Jackson photos every week.

I just bought an XM 24 and I can't get over the quality. I'm pretty sure a 3" is going to be my next for sure. If I can get a 3" slicer I'd probably try and trade my 24 slicer for a 24 spanto, it would probably work better as my go to work knife. Decisions, decisions!!

All I know fer sure is I'm hooked on Hinderers!!

Or you can you have a 3" for the price of 2 CRKs...

I looked around my house and found all the things I will never use and sold them....got myself a 3.5 and a 3". I bet if I was truthful to myself I could find more stuff and buy another. My suggestion is look around and see what you have that you will really never use. Just a thought.

My first hinderer was a 3 inch and I absolutely love it, it's a real badass 3 inches.

When I bought my first one, it was just have all 3 sizes. The first time I held it chenged my mind in a hurry. Changed my brother's mind, too. He saw it in my hand and said it looked to small. Then I handed it to him and...... Let's just say, he owns it now.
