Alox or plastic

Yes, nylon is nice material. I am hooked on the Plus scales though, not much choise for me :(

I love the Alox on my Wenger SI, but I carry my tinker most due to the philips screwdriver. I wish the Tinker came in Alox.

I have a Rambler on my keychain, so I always have tweezers and a toothpick handy. I like both Cellidor and Alox. Cellidor is better for thin knives like the Bantam, and it is generally more comfortable than Alox. On fatter models it doesn't matter all that much. I really like black, but red is okay.

I really favor the cellidor models. The pick and tweezers are handy plus alox models don't come with scissors. I also prefer the look of them I guess.

Aesthetically, I prefer alox all the way. But as a general rule, the T&T (especially the T meaning tweezers) can be pretty useful, and since I'm carrying a SAK for the tools, and not just for the blade, I should say I prefer to carry plastic handled ones. Unless for my alox solo blade.

Alox for me. I just can't get into the plastic handles. The only one I would consider plastic on is the classic just for the tweezers.

I Like Both, A Lot. Because Both Are Very Tough. I Have A Very Small Collection Of SAK's But It's Growing.

I Have:
Techno Trash Classic
Black Classic
Pink Classic
Green Alox Companion
Red Swisslite
Silver Tech Spartan
One Hand Sentinel

Have Coming To Me:
Yellow Don't Tread On Me Rambler
Stay Glow Classic
Black Explorer

And For Christmas I'm Getting:
Digicam Huntsman
And Hopefully A Few More Classics - Gotta Love Em. I'd Really Like To Have A Tinker And Super Tinker As Well.

It's a "Love/Hate" relationship as far as handle scales go for me. I love the Alox, but I hate the lack of tweezer and toothpick slots. I love the nylon scales, but I hate that the vic cross is applied with silver paint. I love the cellidor, but I hate that it scratches and cracks so easily...

I prefer Alox , I only ever carry the tweezers in my wallet . I would kill for a HAIII Alox , like a Farmer or E+ with a scissor layer.

I also own a few Cellidor models .

Why not both?

I carry both every day. The Farmer is attached to a paracord lanyard, looped through my belt loop, and the knife hangs down into my back pocket. The Executive sits in my change pocket.

You really get the best of both worlds with this combo. The Farmer is, of course, the king of the alox models. :D The Executive gives you the other goodies. Tweezers, toothpick, small blades, good sized scissors, the best nail file Vic makes on any model, and an....... orange peeler.

Here is how I carry my classic everyday. I have a similar set up as Buzzbait but I clip mine to my back loop and let knife hang in front pocket. I never leave my classic

even though not look as good, but i do like NYLON... very2 durable and feels more solid than cellidor, and still got the very2 usefull toothpick and tweezer.
My Apineer got me interested in Nylon. It feels better in the hand than either Cellidor or Alox. So I got a Nylon Waiter, and now a Nylon Bantam is on the way.
