Hello! I see some people have a pocket clips on their SAK. I was wondering who to go to for this and what it costs? I have an alox cadet, I'd love to add a clip and file away the key ring loop. Thanks!

Not sure he's still doing this, I tried contacting him but didn't hear back. Does anyone else put a pocket clip on an alox sak?

Victorinox has a p7 suspension clip, a bit different, but I keep meaning to get one

Occasionally, he takes some time to get to get back to you. Between work loads and mods, he can get busy at times.

He is located in canada, so shipping might be a bit costly for just a pocket clip. But keep in mind, putting a clip on will require disassembly and new pins or screws to be installed. So I am not sure what the cost would be in regards to labor.

Thanks guys - I actually have the suspension clip. It's a good clip, but I find I'm fiddling more with getting the knife in and out of my pocket more than with knives that have their own clip. Over time I end up using other knives that I can easily clip back in my pocket, even though I'd rather carry the cadet...

Could you open the blades, then drill and tap holes for the clip screws without disassembling the knife? I know you can buy an adhesive backed clip that'll stick to a plastic scaled SAK.

It seems to me that would work Bill, although I have no experience in that kind of thing. I just started looking at the adhesive clips. Has anyone tried these with the alox? Thanks!

I would think the texturing on the alox would severely limit the contact area and weaken the connection.

Check out YouTube for drilling and tapping aluminum instructions. It is easy, and as long as you have a drill available, it is no problem.

It would likely be an easy mod, and one that will get you past the whole "I am insure" stage.
