I want one, but I carry a Soldier now, and the other tools are so useful, I can't think of a reason to get a Solo. Then again, who needs a reason? I also want a Cadet, a Bantam, a .......

I would go so far as to say that the whole Alox family are among the best slipjoints ever produced . Price to performance ratio , and general utility are unsurpassed - all it boils down too , is what flavor you prefer .

Does the alox solo have the same blade as the farmer and soldier? i.e a bit sturdier than the regular models.

My alox Solo arrived this week. Very sturdy knife that carries in my right front pocket very well. I already have a Bantam, Pioneer, and Cadet. This will be a nice addition.

Twisted blade or straight. Both have been mentioned here.
I'm curious if there really are two kinds.
