Alox Vic's

the new blk or red alox soldiers are nice too. im working on the now how to splash anodise that scales too.

since the swiss army will "upgrade" to an plastic handle scales sak, this years 07 stamped soldier knives (swiss army only) will be quite likley the last yearstamped they make...as sad it is, many did collect those yearstamps.

Can you explain this a bit more please. Not sure I understand what you mean.

I also love them, for all the reasons listed above. I am always amazed at the quality you get with these knives, especially considering the price. ZS'07, if you get one and don't like it, you can always send it to me.

Edited to add a pic of two of my faves...

They Swiss Army won't be using any more Alox knives? Plastic is an upgrade?

I carry an Alox Soldier more often than any other knife I own. The blade is just a perfect size for my needs and it sharpens to a razor edge in seconds. Love it.

I've carried an alox Soldier every day since I got it new in 2003. It rides in the bottom of my pocket with the wallet and loose change so it takes a bit of a beating and shows some wear. But it has great walk and talk and sharpens to a razor with very little effort.

If I was limited to just one knife for EDC from my entire collection, I'd most likely go with the Soldier. It's comforting just knowing I've got it with me for some reason.

sorry for my poor english mingled with southern us accent.

the swiss army is fixin to quit order silver alox soldier knives, those where supplied 50 % from wenger and 50 % of victorinox and all have had an yearstamp on the bladetang, requested by the swiss army...if you look on civillian sold soldiers of both companys theres no yearstamp verry usually...

so the 07 stamped ones will be quite likley the last ones made. the swiss army will order an say 111mm sak with green plastic scales, get the exact requirements as im back in swiss and will post as i have time...

after see clear i will go and organize some more 07 stamped soldiers from both companys, theyr not avaliable on usa but in swiss.

for more spl sak info look on sosakonline and forum
