Alright so I want a good edc knife that will last. I do not plan on needing it for heavy duty tasks but I guess ill see how it goes when I get it.

I am in between either the composite leek, the jyd 2.2, or the blur s30v. Again im edcing it and was leaning towards the composite leek, but I hear good things about the jyd 2.2 and right now its a pretty dam good price.... same with the blur s30v. Just hard to tell if its to big to edc everyday.

Price is 54.54 for jyd2.2, 60.93 for blur s30v, and composite leek 53.19. Would love to hear some input as the prices change frequently and they seem pretty low for the new blur and jyd2.2

I would pick the Jyd 2 I carry it and it's not to big for me and it feels so good in you're hand and it's non assisted the blur is awesome too I love the thumbstuds and you can deassist it. The leek feels too small and the tip is to skinny but its very good for splinters.

seems you prefer the jyd2.2 over the blur then?

I would get the JYD because I like bigger knives........also kershawguy!!!kershawguy!!!

All three! Honestly, it mostly comes down to how much weight you're willing to lug around. I have great affection for the JYD, but it is large and heavy and the pocket clip...well, the less that's said about it the better. The Blur might bethe best all around option. Not too big or heavy, but plenty tough enough for whatever you throw at it. That would probably be my recommendation without knowing how much you're comfortable carrying.

I'm going to have to agree. The blur gets my vote.

alright slight update throw in the zero tolerance 0350ts either plain or combo. Is that more preferred than the others?

I still would pick a JYD 2 it's lighter milled out liners, bigger, cheaper and non assited. One the last manual big flipper kershaws if it was a zt it would probably cost $150 and Pretty sure it would be the same guys building it in the same factory.

Why are the g10 leek and the skyline not on the list? I love th the skyline, and I think I am going to order a g10 leek soon...

You'd be better off with a CF Blur with the CPM-154 steel. It's the best EDC option I've come across so far, and I haven't carried anything else since November.

Dave (kershawguy) has some blems left, but if you want a new one there are places that still have them in stock for regular price.

That might be true, but depending where he works it might freak out some of his coworkers lol. I think the leek is the bee's knees :)

The Leek is a fantastic knife, especially the composite model, it's smooth and sleek, however compared to the JYD, the Blur is tiny. The Junkyard Dog is a big ol' gal.

have you used the zt 0350? I can get it new right now for 107.40. The jyd2.2 new for 65. Same with the rake

The clip isn't all that bad, it does fit your hand really nice when using the knife. It's just that it's freaking huge and basically screams "look at me I'm carrying a knife".
That said, the JYD has great ergonomics, especially if you have larger hands. And CPM-D2 is just great

I used to have a composite 0350 but couldn't deassist it no detent hole for the weight and size of the knife I would rather have the Jyd spring assist is fun at first then the spring breaks and you cant carry youre knife until you get another one from kershaw a nice manual flipper is just as fast if not faster than a assited knives.btw check out the kershaw groove or ram those would be nice edc.

That's a pretty wide range of knife types and sizes. My preferences would be the Leek or Blur for EDC. Leek if you want something slim and compact that just disappears in your pocket, or the Blur if you prefer a larger blade. sticktodrum's suggestion of the CF Blur is a good one if you want to go in that direction. The carbon fiber inserts aren't as grippy as TracTec, but it does look nicer and isn't as abrasive against your pockets and knuckles. I don't have much experience with the CPM-154 yet, but so far, it's held its edge very well (touch-ups on a strop, and it's still going strong on the factory edge after a little over a month). I've found S30V and CPM-D2 to be comparable for my uses.

Size comparison (from top to bottom): JYD2.2, ZT 0350, CF Blur, CB Leek

Thats a hard choice. All are great choices. I EDC a CB leek, CF Blur and a 0350 and use to carry a JYD2. If you are just doing real light cutting the leek is a great choice, easy of carry and seems to be a very popular knife among most folks. However, the CF Blur would be my personal choice, feels amazing in the hand, great steel, and fires open.

In that case, I'd recommend the Leek. It's the most pocket friendly of the three. flarp's photo pretty much tells it all.

Seems like the blur or the leek is the way to go. I can get a new s30v blur for 60 and the cf blur for 100-110. At that price I could get a new 0350ts for about 107- but it seems everyone prefers the blurs or the leeks to this.

so if I went for the bigger knifes everyone recommends I jump up in price over the s30v and get the cf blur even though I can get the 0350ts for the same price?
