alright choosing time between edc knife

In that case, I'd recommend the Leek. It's the most pocket friendly of the three. flarp's photo pretty much tells it all.

You tried both the s30v g10 and the composite? Seems everyone likes the composite better for edge retention and why I was leaning for the jyd2.2 in the beggining as its the same price and usally gets alot of praise.

another option if I decide to go small for the edc is the speedform2 which brand new is 65$ about what I would spend on a cb leek or s30v. There doesn't seem to be much feedback on the knife but a ellmax blade for that price is awesome.

There's a world of difference between the Leek and JYD 2. Everyone has their own definitions, of course. But in my reality, the Leek qualifies as a true EDC while the JYD 2 falls into the category of a pocket brick. The first thing you need to decide is how big and heavy a knife you actually need and you're willing to carry around with you day in and day out. I work in an office and I don't need a very big knife, so the Leek works perfectly for me. And the one I carry is the Damascus version Dave (Kershawguy) currently has in stock.

if i work in an office I would get a baby boa ,leek or od-1 you really don't need much but when you get off of work you might need something bigger probably not but I like big knives and the jyd is really not that bad.

Seems like the blur or the leek is the way to go. I can get a new s30v blur for 60 and the cf blur for 100-110. At that price I could get a new 0350ts for about 107- but it seems everyone prefers the blurs or the leeks to this.

so if I went for the bigger knifes everyone recommends I jump up in price over the s30v and get the cf blur even though I can get the 0350ts for the same price?

If you're okay with blems, you might check out kershawguy's CF Blur blems. They're not that much more than the S30V Blur.

The Blur, to me, is a good compromise of having a larger blade but still keeping the knife relatively compact and EDC-friendly. The 0350 is a noticeably beefier knife. While the Blur is certainly no slouch, the 0350 does feel more tank-like. If that's what you prefer and don't mind the additional size & weight, the 0350 is a great choice (kershawguy also has blems of these available for a good price).

I see with, all the hype on the 0350 I thought it was hands down better than blur. But if you prefer the cf154 blur even when the price is the same for me on that or the 0350ts I might as well try out the blur.

The Blur and 0350 are both great knives. "Better" is a relative term and really ultimately comes down to personal preference. Do you want something a bit more compact or robust? Again, I like the CF Blur better, but my leaning is more towards compact. If you want something a bit more overbuilt to take on any use/abuse you put it through, the 0350 might be better suited. You really can't go wrong with either knife though.

Exactly to each there own. I like my jyd2 the best, but I work in a shop and to heavy cutting. have you considered the speedform2, its got elmax,or a skyline?

I was actually heavily looking at either the composite leek or the speedform2 for a small edc... both are about the same price for a new one. Just was unsure if they were to small, then its between cf blur, 0350, jyd2.2 or rake. Heard good things about the ram and the knockout as well

youre best bet is to go to a knife store and hold the knife in youre hand it really makes a difference when buying a knife. You'll know when you have the right knife when you hold it.
