Ok guys since i am bored and extremely indecisive, i want you guys to pick my next kershaw for me. Blem, new, used i dont care! The only kershaws i have since i just started collecting are a skyline and Olive Leek, Love them both. So i want to hear suggestions on what i am going to buy now. i am open to absolutely anything and the knife that comes up the most is the one i will buy!!$70 price limit also, and if this is somehow breaking any rules please let me know! i have read the rules and i dont think this is wrong

It seems to me that you don't have a Blur or a Cryo. I prefer the Blur though, and once you get it, de-assist that puppy.

I knew the Blur would be one of the first and probably the most often mentioned models, the Cryo though i didnt expect to see, i'll give both one vote haha!

The Cryo and Blur are great knives, but I prefer the lengthier blade on the Blur, and it's buttery smooth when de-assisted.

Good for u, i just passed two years! But cryo or blur r def good calls

Thanks man! the first day was rough but now i have almost forgot i ever smoked! I have really been looking at several different Blurs, but the Cryo i have handled, and i really liked it i just like US made products, but with the Cryo and some of the new Chinese kershaws coming i may break on that

If kershawguy has the Tanto Zing's still, you might want to get one. They're one of the last USA made Zings that will be unclaimed. Then, you'd have just enough for a standard Blur blem from him. That's my humble suggestion.

I have read all the threads about de-assisting them, i am one that likes/liked speedsafe, then i got the skyline and where it doesn't fly open, it is very smooth and is kinda changing me over to a manuel lover

I like the way you think my friend! Zing is another i didn't expect to hear, but looks like 1 for blur and 1 for zing

My top two suggestions are the ones you already have (Leek & Skyline). Next up would be a Blur.

The Zing (if you can find one of the grooved blade ones) is also a neat little flipper. OD-1 as well (also discontinued, but kershawguy has blems of these). Or, if you want to try something a little different, the Needs Work is also a handy utility knife.

The Zing does appeal to me as well as the OD-1, the Needs work i have never cared for but they aren't much so i may have to pick one up sometime

Blur-2
Zing-1
RAM-1
Kockout-1

Why is de-assisting so popular? Someone else mentioned that they'd never use a speedsafe knife for self defense. What's the thinking on that? Seems to me that a highly reliable fast opening knife would be the way to go for self defense if there were any doubts that you might need a wrist flick or something to get it open and someone had your arms pinned (or you're having a bad day with arthritis). I know it's more fun without the speedsafe, but that's just playing. It's like preferring a musket to a semiautomatic.
