I knitted my own scarf a couple winters ago. When I wore it to work, I had some folks tell me that I should make them and sell them because it turned out so nice. Of course, my mom tried to get me to crochet when I was growing up, so that had something to do with it. Good thing I'm into knives and guns or might doubt my masculinity. Go Buckeyes!

But honesty that is great knowledge.. Im not sure where i read it but it seemed that many mountain men did do knitting as well during the winter when then couldnt get out for trapping... A real man should know how to cook bake wash dishes do laundry sew and everything else that has to be done. I dont belive in thats a woman job... You done a great job that hat must be warm in the winter.

I appreciate all the comments, I keep busy, there are many skills that are near forgotten, here we can talk about them, you guys can understand how something as archaic as these fiber arts I’ve posted here can be functional knowledge. I don’t think our civilization is on the verge of collapse but I do have concerns, I am searching now for property and a solid community with strong spiritual foundations and strong sense of community.
