Alright guys. Sell me on ZT.

I am in kinda the same position as the OP... I own some Chinese Kershaws & have always liked them for what they are (ie, budget EDC knives) but all of my nice knives are Spydercos. But of late I have been feeling tempted to expand my horizons a bit and pick up a nice Ti frame lock outside the Spydie family & the ZT0550 has been singing its siren song and tempting me. :D

In all reality I am probably very close I pulling the trigger, just in the research phase that includes reading lots of reviews and watching lots of YT vids! :) By all accounts it's an excellent knife and (dare I say) one of ZT's best (esp the Gen2 models). Just here trying to gather that last bit of intel from the true blue ZT fans. :D

I dont like Kershaw. As a matter of fact I dont thinkI even own one anymore and I have hundreds of knives. I do however own some ZT's and they are badass!! I have a 0551 that I just love! The elmax blade is tough as nails and sharp and lasts!! Cheers to ZT!!

man, go get a zt,,,it is so far the best knife i ever own....it feels so robust, solid, n great for edc too! i own zt0301 as my first high end production knive n i cant stop flipping her all day long

my two favorite knives

Just buy one, then no one will have to sell you on them. These babies speak for themselves.

Heh, well, I don't have the income to just take a random gamble without at least asking the community about them. All of these responses are great guys! I was looking at the new Orange ZT 350 myself, and if I do end up getting a ZT that'll be the one. Simply awesome responses guys. Keep em coming. I'd love to hear more specifics about what makes ZT stand out in front of the main competition (Benchmade, Spyderco).

Dang that's sexy though. (I'm sorry if that pic is too big/not properly sourced. Not sure about those guidelines here.)

Sold yet? All have smooth action, solid lockup, no blade play in any direction, and centered blades when closed.

You should have watched TV last night. The rerun of the NCIS 2012-13 Season opener played (season12/01), and a 350TS (or a 301TS, not sure) played a significant role in the next to last scene. If that doesn't sell you, you won't be sold.

I didn't find it to be less useful, just damned ugly. Life is too short to carry an ugly knife (or gun, wallet, whatever ;)).
