Never been cut when carrying a knife tip up by having it come open in my pocket. Then again, I always carry it so that the blade is against the inside seem where it can't open.

My very first blur (tanto) bit me 5 minutes after I got it.
I unwrapped it, admired it, played with it, and put it in my pocket tip down the way it came.

It opened in my pocket and I didn't realize it until it sliced the back of my hand.

Ever since it's de-assisted and tip up so the blade is against the back of my pocket.
