Altama and Mil-spec boots

Did Altama every make the Black Jungle or desert boot without the Padded collar in the Mil-spec variety. They now only show the lower height boot in commercial grade.

Is there any place that has the lower height mil-spec black or desert boots for sales?

FWIW the o.d. green jungle boots are far better than the black ones. They last longer and are more comfortable, at least to me. The best boots ever issued, though, are the deserts, IMHO .

I thought about suggesting Belleville, too, Clay. Unfortunately, last time I visited their site I could not find any DMS Panama sole boots

I have two pair of Wellco. They are the one's to go with!

. . . moreso now that I've been reading about the military going to different boots. I'll probably get two pair of deserts or a pair of deserts and a pair of jungles. Can't beat Wellco's price for a Mil. Spec. DMS boot.

I agree with the other people here about the WELLCO brand.

They haven't broke it yet, and they feel pretty good.

Not too expensive either. Made in USA as well.
