In July I placed on order with Buckshot's Camp. I ordered their Monthly Special #3, along with some other items.

In a fairly reasonable amount of time I received most of my items, however, the DVD and manual (as part of the special) still have not arrived. I have tried calling them three times (always a machine; I left messages) and I have e-mailed them too many times to count. I have yet to receive a SINGLE reply from them. :grumpy:

Of course I now have found out (from the BBB and a thread at this site) that they have a sketchy record.

Does anybody personally know the people there or a good alternate way to contact them? I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks.

I have had problems with a order too I never recieved it and was billed for it to buck shops camp SUCKS........

I've ordered twice with no problems whatsoever. Never had to contact them, but where did you see that they have a sketchy record?

I've placed a few orders with him and havn't had a problem receiving everything. I do know that he runs trap lines and can be gone for awhile every so often.

I was getting ready to place a dealer purchase of their DVDs but I don't think I want to do business with them now. . .

I just deleted his address from my favorites, never did business with him but was going to but now, well I don't like shabby business's.

I ordered from them once, only got partial order and after many many weeks of trying to contact them gave up on seeing the rest. Lucky for me it wasn't a huge order money wise, i just figured the small bit i lost was worth the education, i'll never do business with them again.

I ordered a couple of things, maybe 3 years ago and didn't have any problems. Well, actually I thought I was short shipped but it was an error on my part and Bruce fixed it up, no problem.

From my experience, I wouldn't have had any problems ordering from him, but in view of the previous posts, I don't know.

Yep, it only takes one bad transaction and someone willing to spread it over the web, for a business to take a dump. Especially a small business like Buckshots.

I hate to see a business take a beating but when you take someones money, you have to deliver.

I was assuming that most of you knew that the husband and wife (Mr. and Mrs. Buckshot) divorced, and the wife has been the one doing the selling things. I haven't had a problem..., but others have talked about having really ugly problems during talking to the woman.

I've heard the Mr. Buckshot has been trying to create a new internet company...., I don't know when that's going to happen.

Actually, I'm just talking about what some others have said, in an other forum...., I'll put some actual printing others have said:

"I also have had professional and personal dealings with Buckshot. Good fellow, great information in the videos. If it's anything he has power over, he'll do right by you.
It saddens me to hear that he's divorced, though perhaps he's happier for it.
Mrs. Buckshot retains rights to the site? HIS hard work? Is that like the Jerry Reed song, "She got the goldmine, I got the shaft?"
You got another one in your corner, Bruce."

"From what I have found out, the business is not a "them" anymore. Buckshot's wife divorced him and got rights to the "Buckshot's Camp" website. So you are not dealing with Bruce anymore but his ex-wife. I felt a need to make that known since it was news to me.
Bruce is making a new website and looks to be starting his life over again. I made him aware of this thread and I imagine he will be answering as he finds time."

"I have been in contact with Bruce and his website(s) will be up soon. As of today I'm helping him get those situated and running. Just a friend helping out a friend. I hope those who are putting their orders on hold will hold off for a few more weeks. You be able to do a websearch here in a few weeks and be able to find it easily.
He has been out doing a very interesting project. This one is being professionally edited and sounds like he poured a lot into it to get an excellent end product.
Also, he will be putting up a statement in this thread. I think he just wants to make sure he words it appropriately and respectfully.
I'm not speaking for Bruce. I just thought I would let everyone would like an update and not left wondering. From what I've read in this thread, I thought some folks might need their curiosity filled."

"Except... my LAST order was about... ? less than a yr... 10 months?? and after 3 months I finally got through
(started calling, emails, after two months... not one response)
she said that ALL the items that I had ordered where back ordered and would go out when they had them. That would have been nice to know.
The packing slip said it was sent out that day. "

"From my understanding his Ex wife has severe health problems right now and the son has stepped in to sort things out. I'm not offering excuses. I'm simply stating my understanding.
Of course you have recourse. It's s small business.
If you wired $5,000 to Pakistan, then you would have a different story.
If you paid by CC, you contact them and go by thei policies with a charge back IF you were charged (look at what Lowdown posted). A "pending" is not a charge. It means it's on hold.
If you paid by check, cancel the check and/or contact your bank.
If you paid by MO you have lots of options.
If you paid cash, then and only then MIGHT you be SOL.
But as of your posting it was only 2 weeks. To be honest , to *me*, that's not an unreasonable period of time to recieve an order. I've ordered from big companies like REI and Sportsman Guide and it was up to 6 weeks. Botach, I had to pay a Lawyer $50 to get them to refund my money after months of dealing with their service department. "

I think you misread. I placed the order in JULY. It has been almost five months now! That is absolutely ridiculous. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I have sent them two letters today (one to each of their two listed addresses).

I am glad to hear that the former owner will be forming a new company. Keep me updated on that, will you? I have heard lots of good stuff about him. I will NEVER do business again with the current Buckshot's Camp.
