Alternative anvil

Well for anyone that is interested Tracey from USA knifemakers just posted on facebook hes going to be making "black robin anvils" a 5x5x12 block of 1045
 
Estimated weight?
 
He said about 85lbs so its 5 bucks a pound which really isnt THAT bad.

ETA im not trying to advertise for Tracey or anything of the sort. Don't want to step on toes or break rules

Anvil shipped out today. I had it all ready for the UPS guy to pick up. He left laughing, saying this was his first anvil pickup. I made it easy for him to carry.

Got mine mounted today. Decided to use pressure treated 4x4s, lag screwed together also with construction adhesive. Ended up gluing anvil as well for solid connection. It seems pretty solid given the heft, but if the base moves around much I will add something to extend the footprint. I went with 36” to top of my anvil.
