Alternative for AO folder

Hello,

I have been using a ZT0350 knife for a while know
I like the recurve and the AO on this knife. It has proven to be a very effective design for what I do on holidays (cut ropes, carve some wood...) or when I feel I may need some self défense blade easy to deploy

I recently got a spider monkey and it happens I enjoy the wave feature on it... IMHO the spider monkey is really a good small self défense little blade (wave opener, blade thickness, handle shape)

So it make me think about finding an option to my ZT0350, which is not a small deal since I really like my ZT and it's M390 blade

I am not convinced with the bad monkey steel or the grind of most Emerson knives

What would you recommend as a folder for recreational-outdoor / light-self-défense purpose with a 3.25-3.6" blade, s35v or better steel (need some rust resistance 'cause I use it on seashore occasionally), no backlock...?

so sad you said no backlock...

excellent steel, nice AO, can be waved easily, CTS-XHP steel, nearly 4" blade,

DPX Hest is the only thing that comes to mind other than the ZT mentioned above. It has a "quick open feature" that works like a wave feature and doubles as a bottle opener.

Never handled one, but was thoroughly impressed by the smaller DPX Heat. Could be a good option, certainly an interesting one.
