Alternative words for razor sharp?

A guy at work told me,"I've heard of your knives. Don't they cut 6 inches ahead of the edge?"[emoji6]

Three I learned here at BF:

"Cuts like the Dickens" (never understood this one)
"Sharper than an ex-wife's tongue"

and my favorite, in its context

The knife came irresponsibly sharp out of the box.
I LOL'd a lot at this one

I've always liked "sharp enough to shave a mouse." I'm not sure exactly how sharp something must be in order to shave a mouse, as I've never shaved one, but the saying (and resulting mental image) always makes me giggle.

Heard Scalpel sharp.

Was "Stupid Sharp" mentioned? Stupid or Crazy are a coworkers favorite adjective for anything.

others he says: Stupid Fast, Stupid Dumb (yep he says that), he once said a former boss was, "so smart, he is stupid " crazy thing is it sorta made sense.
And finally he once, when asked how the Used car he just bought ran: "It runs like a convict". Lol

Keen edge.

Paper cut.

Wire edge.

Like butta.

A wire edge isn't necessarily sharp at all. A dull edge can have a wire. In fact that is a common issue. People have a "sharp" edge that quickly becomes dull, and they don't know why. It's because they have a wire edge which quickly falls off.

I like sticky sharp. I know its sharp when the edge wants to grab the pads of my fingers at the slightest touch

Dumb, For the most part not necessary...

Excuse me for my candor, but a reasonably properly sharpened knife is great. I never understand why I continue to see posts on how a wicked sharp knives cut paper in the YouTube world. What is the point? How many of us buy knives to make YouTube Videos? In my eyes a sharp knife can do a lot tasks well, but I fail to understand why so many think "Hair Shaving Sharp" is important. How many of us Shave our faces with our finest knives? How would a knife like this have any benefit as a tool other than making a claim?

I am not here to disrupt this post by any means and understand it is personal preference, but it feels good to make this post with my honest feelings....TD

Not everyone here uses knives in the same way. Some people collect or just enjoy having a knife that can shave hair.

No need to get upset. I have a lot of different styles. Some are hard use with a working edge. Some have high angles and are hair popping sharp.

I've told folks "Be careful,It's so sharp,it'll cut you looking at it."

I like Surgically sharp, Band aid sharp, sharp enough to circumcise a gnat, About as sharp as Gomer Pyle, and Duller than dog doo.
