Alternatives to Randall Knives.....Suggestions Please.

I am not going to recommend a substitute, temporary or not. Others have and will do that. But I will recommend that you proceed to Randall's website, order a catalog, peruse the choices, agonize over what you want, and send them a $50 deposit. Get in the habit of dropping your pocket change in a gallon jar. Five years from now, dump out the jar and pay for your knife. You won't miss the money. You'll enjoy the wait. And it'll be your knife.

Worked for me.

...I think I'll find a dealer that might work with me and let me set up some kind of deal where I can just send them money from time to time and apply it to what I want and eventually I'll have a Randall. Might be difficult to find a dealer that would be willing to put up with that kind of headache from someone that they don't know personally...

You don't need a dealer, just a coffee can or old wallet to put the money in until you have enough :)

This might not be what you wanna do but it's an option.
Instead of spending that money on another knife why not put a 50 dollar deposit on a real Randall through a dealer and pay off a little bit at a time 50 bucks a month or so , so when in 6-8 months your knife is ready you already have it paid for. Plus you can order it the exact way you want it.
This is what I did I just ordered a 15 today.

The current wait time for a new one from Randall from the factory is 5 years.

If you are focused on getting an actual Randall knife and especially since you don't seem to have the money for one all at once, I would order one from the factory, put down a deposit, continue to save, and wait. I have three Randall's (#15, #16, and a 5" Jack Crider Special). All of these were purchased at the annual Blade show long before I realized the Blade Show is a "big deal". I do like my Blackjack classics and for the most part content with those for using. I have four at the present.

There are quite a few authorized dealers that carry Randalls and are in stock if you don't want to wait the usual 5 years. I got my Fireman model from one such dealer. It cost a bit more but was worth it to me.

True. You can get them through Spyderco's site. Also a long-standing, well-respected, been-around-forever knife retailer usually has them in stock.

Why are you posting this in a bunch of old threads? This thread is 4 years old. If you want to show off your knife, start a new thread and you know, type something.
Agreed....
caine caine take More pictures, not just posting the one same picture in Numerous threads..... Seems weird?

Why not start a New thread with how awesome your new knife is.....
And what you like about it, and Using it.

It's like the dude got stuck. Maybe there is a hidden message in the picture, like "help I've been captured by bunny assassins, send the ninja turtles" or "I'm hungry", we should probably figure that out.

Also I gave you the heart eyes because I double liked your post. That's all. Don't make it weird.
