Altoid Alternates

I just picked up a small Lock&Lock box. Pretty sharp. Bit large for my 1st line PSK that I carry always when outside but I am using it for my first aid kit in my bushbag. Seems pretty well built and has a lifetime warranty according to the paperwork that came with it.

I use a heavy duty mini zip lock bag from REI.

Keeps everything water proof and is flexible to better fit the tight storage area in my camelbak

When I first saw these on this site, I thought they were kinda cheap and gimmicky. Then I saw them in person and handled them and decided to try some out.
I got a 3 pack at WalMart for $5.88. Seems like really good stuff! Like you said, lifetime warranty.......not that I could ever see following up with it, I mean, for the price I'd just buy another one........but that means they stand behind their product.
A neat feature with these is the silicon seal that can be removed and cleaned.
I would say these will be more than enough for use in a daypack or BOB.

But, there are some folk on this site that swear lock&lock is a POS.

I don't get that at all
I mean, they're no Pelican case or Otterbox, but for the price and what I need it for, this stuff seems pretty rugged and seals great!

Well, if I could use the "search" feature, I would look up the thread where the guy posted like he knew what he was talking about. He said the locks/tabs kept breaking off. But that didn't keep me from buying some.

But, I thought people only posted here when they knew what they were saying. :(

I should've known that was wrong when some of the "knife" people said the AFSK was a POS too. And that plexiglass wasn't around in WWII.

:D I guess time will tell.

I'm a fan of the Altoids sours tins (and the candy itsself too). Also, the tins that air gun pellets come in are nice.
