Does anybody know where it opens to replace the pen cartridge? I gave my sons them for Christmas and of course they are asking me. I don't have one.

Got it. Had to use channel locks.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone that has started collecting this pieces. As you read about ALL the various options, it becomes obvious there is more to these "Pens" then meets the eye.

I'm thinking of going in the direction of the E.D, pen. I now have purchased and seen the Investigator as well as the modular kubaton w/pen attachment (the one I was trying to disassemble).
Now just trying to decide on material and finish.

I plan on getting brass and copper investigators when they come available.
